The Interior Ministry on Saturday issued a list of proscribed organisations that includes People's Amn Committee (PAC) of Karachi. These organisations have been banned from collecting hides of sacrificial animals on Eid ul Azha. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the interior ministry has released a list of the banned outfits in Pakistan.
According to which the Lyari-based People's Amn Committee headed by Sardar Uzair Jan Baloch has also been listed as a proscribed organisation. In the past the PAC was banned by the Sindh Home Department under the clause (11/B) of Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. The interior ministry said the banned organisations will not be allowed to pursue political and social activities in the country. The proscribed organisations also cannot collect hides of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
According to the list, the banned organisations includes Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ), Sipha-e-Muhammad Pakistan (SMP), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JM), Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LT), Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Tehreek-e-Jaafria Pakistan (TJP), Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM), Tehreek-e-Islami, al Qaeda, Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan (Ex SSP), Khuddam-ul-Islam (Ex JM), Islami Tehreek Pakistan (Ex TJP), Jamiat-ul-Ansar, Jamiat-ul-Furqan, Hizb-ul-Tehrir, Khair-un-Naas International Trust, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Islamic Students Movement of Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Islam, Ansar-ul-Islam, Haji Namdar Group, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Republican Army (BRA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Lashkar-e-Balochistan (LeB), Balochistan Liberation United Front (BLUF), Balochistan Musalla Defah Tanzeem (BMDT), Shia Tulaba Action Committee, Gilgit, Markaz Sabeel Organisation, Gilgit, Tanzeem Naujawanan-e-Sunnat (TNA), Gilgit and Peoples Aman Committee (Lyari), Karachi.
