US stocks rose on Friday and were on track to end the week higher as Italy''s Senate approved economic reforms, easing investors'' concerns about the eurozone''s debt crisis. In early afternoon, the Dow Jones industrial average shot up 273.59 points, or 2.30 percent, tot 12,167.38. The Standard & Poor''s 500 Index climbed 25.86 points, or 2.09 percent, to 1,265.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 56.21 points, or 2.14 percent, to 2,681.36.
