Visa seekers for Afghanistan have demanded making the process simple and increasing the quota to facilitate unemployed youths at maximum. Scores of jobless youth staged a protest demonstration on Thursday on main Shershah Suri Road near Peshawar Press Club.
The protesters said that a large number of youth hailing from far-flung areas and districts, like Swat, Mardan, Bannu, Charssada, Karak, Jamrud and Kohat had come to Peshawar for getting Afghanistan visa, but could not due to the quota restriction. They said that Afghan consulate has received few forms instead of accommodating maximum aspirants. They demanded Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti to take up the issue with the Afghan authorities.
