Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Sindh, and Peoples Doctors Forum (PDF) arranged a condolence meeting to mourn recent killing of three of their co-professionals, said a press release issued on Friday. Doctors on the occasion demanded of the authorities concerned to take into confidence all sections of the society about measures adopted to counter target killing, money extortion and other serious criminal activities in the province.
They said there was urgency to take strict action against the criminals as otherwise country would be deprived of highly trained and technical personnel as they would be migrate from the country'. The meeting was addressed by Sindh PMA President, Dr Samrina Hashmi, PDF President, Dr Karim Khawaja, President of PMA -Centre, Dr Tipu Sultan, Secretary General, PMA-Centre, Mirza Ali Azhar. Dr Taipal Chabria, Vice Chairperson, HRCP-Sindh, Amar Nath Natwani and others. Participants of the meeting also passed a resolution for constitution of a Judicial Commission for the investigation of the killing.
