Divergent trends were seen on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of modest trading, dealers said.
On the cereal side, makai low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 2125 while the best type did not move any side at Rs 2250, wheat old and new bardan rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2690-2705, other items held the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
On the seed side til low type lost sharply by Rs 150 to Rs 3250 and good type also shed Rs 50 to Rs 3550, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 900 and best quality, however, gained Rs 25 to Rs 1075, they said. Prices on the rice and grams sectors were unmoved, they said.
