KP Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Ibrahim Khan on Sunday claimed that his party would get 50 percent seats in the next general elections in the province, saying that keeping in view the prevailing situation in the country all options are open for seat-to-seat adjustment with religious, political parties, including PTI, and PML-N.
Addressing a news conference regarding the JI rally scheduled for December 16 at Jinnah Park here, he said that the JI has opened all options for coalition set-up or seat-to-seat adjustment with any religious and political party for making alliance government in the province. He added that his party had raised voice against US tyranny and oppression on this part of the region.
KP JI general secretary Shabbir Ahmad, Naib Ameer Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, JI Fata Ameer Haroonul Rasheed, deputy secretary information, Shamshad Ahmad Khan Advocate, and Jamaat Ali Shah were also present.
Ibrahim said that KP police had made secret agreement with US in the ruling ANP government. He said that peace and stability was not possible by taking and minting dollars by the biggest terrorist state of the world.
He alleged that the ANP government had broken all records of corruption, which has no precedent in the past. He criticised the promulgation of FATA and PATA Action in Aid of Civil Power Regulation and said that the legislation would multiply miseries of the tribal people.
Regarding the memo issue, he said the situation has been made by immature deed of Pakistan Ambassador to United States, Hussain Haqqani, and Mansoor Ejaz was much complicated than NRO. He added that the issue would expose hidden faces.
He appealed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the issue, like it did in the past on other issues.
Giving the details of scheduled December rally, he said that the protest rally will prove last nail in coffin of ruling coalition government. He claimed that a large number of workers and activists would participate in the protest rally.
He said that JI is a strong religious-political party of the province, which will prove practically through the upcoming scheduled rally. He claimed the JI was the sole party to pull the country out the prevailing crisis.
He alleged that the ruling coalition had failed to address key issues of unemployment, price hike, load shedding and corruption, adding that owing the wrong polices of rulers, the country is facing immense kind of lawlessness, and crisis.
Ibrahim said that the country has economically become bankrupt due to getting loans with high interest from International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), and other foreign financial institutions and aid agencies.
