A bomb blast occurred in Saryab area of the provincial capital on Tuesday morning. Police said that unidentified armed persons placed an explosive device outside a shop of a property dealer in Saryab road Mills Colony area which was detonated with remote control. No loss of life was reported. However, the explosion caused smashing of windowpanes of nearby houses and shops.
The law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects out. According to Bomb Disposal Squad, a one and half kg explosive material of 'cracker' type was used in the blast. The police have been investigating into the incident.
