People of other areas especially walled city also complained about unavailability of gas, while the CNG stations were not selling gas because of low gas pressure. Rana Pervaiz Hameed of Neelkot, said he could not get CNG on Sunday night for his vehicle due to low gas pressure at the CNG stations. When contacted a Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) official said the gas supply to some areas of Multan was in low pressure due to low temperature.
He said the SNGPL officials were working day and night to maintain the pressure for domestic consumers for uninterrupted gas supply to all areas. On Monday morning, rush was witnessed at tandoors and bakeries in different localities as there was no gas pressure to cook. On Sunday and Monday morning when the citizens woke up and women went to kitchens to prepare breakfast, there was no gas pressure. Low gas pressure forced the citizens to buy breakfast.
