The All Pakistan Women's Association (APWA) greatly appreciated the passage of the prevention of Anti-Women Practices Bill 2011 by the National Assembly, recently. After many deliberations and minor amendments the Bill will finally uphold women's rights which were hitherto depriving them from inheriting property and suppressing them into marriage under old customs. APWA hoped that the new law would be implemented in letter and spirit.
