KCCI employees union stages demonstration

The members of Collective Bargaining Agent Union of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry staged demonstration outside Karachi Press Club on Sunday for pressing the KCCI management to implement court verdict and allowing them trade union activities.
Addressing the demonstrators, General Secretary of CAB union Mahboob Ellahi, Vice President Farooque Ghauri and others said that their union was registered in 1975 and had been elected CBA and signed many agreements with KCCI management but in 2003 the KCCI management allegedly got its registration cancelled. According to union leaders, Sindh High Court restored the registration of union twice but the KCCI management challenged it in Supreme Court where again the court gave its verdict in favour of union.
