The Lahore High Court Chief Justice here on Monday issued notice to Punjab former Chief Minister and MPA Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa in an application of Missal Khan, father of Sapna former wife of Khosa. The petitioner sought court permission to become necessary party in a pending petition for the recovery of his daughter.
Petition for the recovery of Sapana was filed by Chairman Judicial Activism Panel Azhar Siddique from alleged custody of Khosa. Later her sister, Hina Khan, also became party in the case by filing an affidavit. In this case, Khosa had already admitted that he had married to actress Zeba Khan, alias Sapna, however, divorced her later. His counsel also submitted marriage certificate in the court. Khosa divorced Sapna Khan on June 19, 2011, in presence of witnesses and both the parties promised not to raise any demand in future.
He claimed that custody of his four-month daughter Mah Gul Khosa out of this wedlock was decided in his favour too. Khosa's counsel stated before the court that since divorce his client had no knowledge about the whereabouts of Sapna Khan. He alleged that Sapna was in custody of her sister Hina Khan. Petitioner submitted that the Sapna Khan was thrashed and taken away by the friends of Khosa at GOR-I on June 2, 2011, and since then no clue of her whereabouts was available.
