A senior Advocate of Supreme Court and leader of Pakistan People's Party, Aitzaz Ahsan, on Monday termed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as "a good third political option" which would support the will of voters in the country. He was talking to media persons in the premises of Supreme Court here.
Commenting on the statement of Shah Mehmood Qureshi at a public meeting in Ghotki that Zardari was responsible to destabilise Pakistan, he said why Qureshi was not aware of the fact during his tenure as foreign minister of Pakistan, being in the PPP fold. He said that there is a big question mark in the minds of general public that what had happened all of a sudden which compelled Qureshi to blame Zardari "with such intensity".
Aitzaz said that Hussain Haqani has decided to face the inquiry in homeland, and added that there must be a fair trial. "However, burden of proof always lies with the applicant," he said. Aitzaz said: "Parliamentary as well as departmental inquiry was being conducted, finding of which will recommend any action against Hussain Haqani".
