The Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has asked the government to shake off all its responsibilities in the so-called war against terrorism and withdraw all facilities given to the US pretentious stand as World's god-father. The OCCI's meeting chaired by the Chamber's President Chaudhry Shafqat Rasool on Wednesday observed that Pakistani nation was not a plaything to be prayed upon wishfully by any foreign power, be it America, Israel or India.
The meeting that was also attended by Vice President Chaudhry Fayyaz and former presidents Flight Lieutenant Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad Iqbal(Retd), Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal Shahid, Vice President Khalil-ur-Rehman and the executive committee members condemned the Nato forces attack on Pakistani soldiers and called to view the Nato strike on Mohmand Check-post in which 26 defenders were martyred.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Shafqat Rasood said the territorial integrity of Pakistan is sacred for each national next to religion. Blood and life are nothing, when the nation stands to defend its soil. He put a question to the US Administration, as to why supply of modern weapons to Taliban could not be stopped by the anti-al Qaeda powers in the world, as these weapons were being manufactured within those states?
He said that it was quite ambiguous as when Pakistan had been fighting terrorism with all its capabilities within its territories, then why from across the Pak-Afghan borderline the Nato forces conducted drone attacks and air-strike on Pak land, instead of intimating Pak forces of any border crossing by terrorist elements?
