Partly cloudy weather has been forecast for Karachi with chances of light rain/drizzle in the next 24 hours. "Yesterday's deep depression over East Central Arabian Sea and adjoining areas now lies over the West Central Arabian Sea, is moving north-westwards and lays centered at latitude 17.0ºN and longitude 64.5ºE," Met Office says in its daily weather update.
It says a shallow trough of westerly wave still prevailing over northern area, adding that mainly dry weather expected in most parts of the country. "However, light rain may occur along Sindh-Makran coast. Misty conditions would prevail in plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during early morning," it says. During the last 24 hours, isolated rain occurred along Sindh-Makran coast. Lowest temperature as minus 8 degree centigrade was recorder in Skardu.
