Bogor University, Indonesia, and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, have agreed to enhance their collaboration in agriculture and education in a bid to boosting up the sector. In this connection, Indonesian four-member delegation visited the UAF and called on Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan at VC Syndicate.
In the meeting, it was categorically agreed to enhance the collaboration between the universities for uplifting the sector. The Indonesian four-member delegation comprised Professor Dr Endes Dahlan, member Indonesian President Team on Trembesi-tree, Professor Dr Ir. Slamet Susanto from Bogor University, Kusdiana, First secretary to Indonesian Embassy and Riaz, Secretary to Ambassador.
The delegation also visited Institute of Horticulture Sciences, Citrus Nursery, Tissue Culture Lab and the Department of Forestry. The vice chancellor told the delegation about the situation of agriculture in Pakistan and role of university in this regard. He said that the university was taking all tangible steps to transform the knowledge into goods and services. Director External Linkages Dr Ashfaq Chatta also spoke on the occasion.
