Sarhad Public Transport Legal Action Committee has welcomed the issuance of separate fare list to the CNG vehicles and demanded of the government to implement its decision at the earliest. Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Saturday the committee's Chairman Haji Ihsanullah said that the Regional Transport Authorities and Provincial Transport Authorities issued fare list and Peshawar High Court also directed the government to ensure its implantation but it has failed to do so till now.
Mr Ihsan alleged that some government employees and traffic police are involved in the illegal practices to delay implementation of the decision and give free hand to the transporters to fleece the passengers with both hands. "Now the high court has also taken notice of the violation of rules and directed the concerned officials to ensure implementation of the decision within 10 days," he said and demanded of the provincial government and National Accountability Bureau to take immediate action against those involved in the illegal practices.
