The second 'Training Programme for Young Writers' organised by the Dawah Academy of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) concluded here on Wednesday. IIUI Rector Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik presided over the ceremony while IIUI Acting President Dr Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman was the chief guest on the occasion.
Faculty members and administrative officers were also present on the occasion. Young writers from all over the country and Azad Kashmir participated in the course. Speaking on the occasion Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik said all languages spoken in Pakistan were national languages of Pakistan but "Urdu" was a language of collective communication.
He said "Urdu" is proud to be considered as the language of Pakistan Movement and people from Khyber to Karachi and Sylhet during the struggle of Pakistan Movement used it as a language of communication. IIUI Acting President Dr Sahibzada Sajid Ur Rehman sharing his views said writers had a great responsibility to work for the Muslim Ummah and provide suitable solution of the day to day problems.
He said they should avoid all political and personal affiliations to work only for the betterment of our country. Sahibzada Sajid advised the young writers that they should project thoughts of Iqbal in young generation whose theme is "Ishq-e-Muhammad" (PBUH), "because our new generation can only be linked with our forefathers through Ishq-e-Mustafa (PBUH)." At the end Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik and Dr Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman distributed certificates among the participants.
