They announced that they would gather outside the offices of City District Government on Thursday morning for registering their protest against the three-day gas shedding in a week. They stated that Value Added Textile industry is providing jobs to millions apart from contributing good amount as tax, besides earning much-needed foreign exchange. But cold shoulder approach of the government was hurting export-oriented businesses pushing many industrial units toward closure, which could render large number of labourers jobless.
