Youm-e-Ashur was observed throughout the district with religious sanctity and fervour amid tight security arrangements. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan Faisalabad, Jhang supervised security measures in the four districts of the division, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot as a in charge of Divisional Monitoring Committee.
He took a round of the city and inspected the security arrangements on the routs of Tazia, Zuljinah and Alam processions and sites of Majalis and Sham-e-Gareeban. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officers for maintaining foolproof security arrangements on different angles for the protection of mourners. Later the Law Minister stayed at Circuit House along with the other members of Divisional Monitoring Committee MPAs Kh Muhammad Islam, Muhammad Nawaz Malik, Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan and Chaudhry Shafique Gujjar. He remained in touch with the district, divisional and provincial control rooms and got reports regarding law and order situation and progress of the Muharram processions.
Earlier, the minister visited Central Control Room at CPLC headquarters and inspected the other sections of public help services. He participated in a briefing session regarding the performance and achievements of the CPLC. Chief CPLC Junaid Ahmad Banth apprised the minister of the CPLC services and said the facilities regarding the help desks, emergency calls, blocking and reopen of stolen mobile phones, verification of the CNIC, vehicle tracking system are available under one roof of CPLC.
Expressing his views, the law minister said that crimes could not be controlled without launching most advance security surveillance system and the CPLC could play a vital role in this regard by supporting the govt. He said that the CPLC should turn the directions of their welfare programme for providing the relief to the common man with regards to his protection and relief. He advised that the plan for computerised surveillance security system should be devised by the CPLC with the consultation of the elected public representatives for introducing the most advance security system as style of like China. He assured that the Punjab govt would provide required funds for this project for ensuring the safety and security of the public.
