MUET signs accord with TUD

To establish academic linkage and promote joint research, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Technical University Darmstadt (TUD), Germany. Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput, Vice Chancellor signed the agreement from MUET Jamshoro while from TUD Professor Dr Hans Juergen Proemel, President TUD signed the agreement.
Giving details of the MoU Dean Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering Professor Dr BS Chaudhry said that the MoU covered joint co-operation on various activities that include promotion of joint research programmes, exchange of faculty and administrative staff, exchange of students, sponsoring co-operative seminars/workshops, mutual exchange of research outcomes, academic publications and other academic information. He informed that it also covered various other academic and educational exchange programmes approved as suitable by both universities.
Dr Chaudhry appreciated the efforts of Dr Faisal Karim Shaikh, Department of Telecommunica-tion Engineering, MUET Jamshoro and Professor Dr Neeraj Suri Chair Dependable, embedded systems and software group, TUD Germany for their efforts in establishment of the linkage programme. He said that the agreement will be beneficial for both faculty and students of the university.
