SARGODHA: Citrus Research Institute Sargodha (CRIS) Director Muhammad Nawaz Maiken on Wednesday said that cultivation of seedless kinnow could enhance exports across the world.
He expressed satisfaction over kinnow quality in the current season and urged growers to adopt modern techniques for getting the best production from their orchards.
He said the CRIS was providing assistance to farmers for quality kinnow while there was dire need to cultivate seedless kinnow to compete the international markets.
The kinnow rates have already been decided with consultation of all stakeholders and growers were getting the best rates of their yield.
He also expressed satisfaction over the last years exports and said that 220,000 Metric Ton kinnow was exported during the last year.
The CRIS expert said that Pakistani Kinnow was famous across globe due to its delicious taste and its export could be extended to European markets after producing seedless kinnow.
