At least two women were shot dead near Malir Development Authority (MDA), Bin Qasim in the limits of Steel Town police station. According to police, the police on the information of locals recovered two bullet-riddled female bodies from the bushes located in Block 19, MDA.
They said that unidentified culprits kidnapped both victims from an unknown place, murdered and later threw their bodies at the said spot. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. They said that both victims, who appeared to be in their mid 40s, wore cream and orange colours suits and added that they received fatal bullet wounds on their neck and faces.
Police said the identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained while they might have been killed over personal dispute. Moreover, the police said they did not find anything from the spot to ascertain their identities. Later, the police moved these bodies to Edhi Morgue for identification. A case of dual murders was registered on the complaint of state. Further investigation is in progress.
