Punjab University Institute of Business & Information Technology (IBIT) organised an orientation ceremony for the newly-admitted students of academic session 2011-12 here at the Institute on Friday. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran was the chief guest, while Dean Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences Professor Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, Institute Director Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, faculty members and a large number of newcomers were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran said the expulsion of American forces from Afghanistan was very much needed for the freedom of human kind. He said a group of rich families was the enemy of Americans and all human kind, which owned all multi-national companies of the world. But now the Americans have stood against this group in the shape of "Occupy Wall Street, he said, adding no news regarding protest were coming out as 80 percent of US media were in custody of this group.
He appealed to Pakistan media to utilise their own resources instead of depending on foreign media agencies in this regard. He said this organised group had been working secretly since 250 years and they own more wealth than the world's GDP, which is $70 trillion dollars. He said the US president and all officials posted on important ranks were chosen by this group and anyone who refused to accept their command, either his voice was pressed or he was murdered. "The objective of this group was to establish "One World Government" to control the resources all over the world," he said.
Dr Mujahid Kamran said the creators of knowledge had always been in power. The fall of Muslims began when their names were no more in inventions. He said unfortunately Muslims were most uneducated among all the leading nations. He advised the students to understand issues and be honest with their work. He asked them to learn things and then remember. He also advised them to prepare notes of their lectures on daily-basis. The Vice-Chancellor advised them to keep big goals before them and have big targets only then they will work more hard.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar presented the progress report of the Institute and said three faculty members of the Institute had been pursing their PhD. Last year 15 research papers and nine books of faculty members were published. He said the Institute had produced over 1200 graduates during last ten years who had been serving multi-national companies. He advised the students to adopt responsible attitude on the campus being Pakistani.
