Directorate of Agricultural Information Punjab started 18th training course on "Information Science and Agricultural Journalism" here on Friday. The objectives of this 10 days course are to create awareness among the participants about the effective use of mass media for information dissemination and transfer of technology to target Audience.
Director Agricultural Information Punjab Muhammad Rafiq Akhtar inaugurated the training course and threw light on the importance of print and electronic media in imparting know how about latest technology among the growers.
Officers from Agriculture Department Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and other allied departments are participating in the course. Professors of Mass Communication from renowned Universities and media experts from print and electronic media, advertising agencies will deliver lectures during the course. Participants will also visit the office of newspapers, news agencies, radio and television station.
