A seminar on "Peace and Women Rights" was conducted in Federal Urdu University here on Tuesday, which was arranged by the students of business administration department. Jameel Gillani, MNA, and Arbab Tahir, secretary general ANP, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), were the chief guests.
Among others Bashir Sher Pao, Riaz Bangash and Tahira Gul along with a large number of students and administration and faculty members of the university participated in the seminar. Tahira Gul while mentioning her organisation contribution toward women rights in Pakistan, said that she worked for women especially for IDPs and flood affected people. Jameela Gillani said that the condition of women in Pakistan is very miserable.
While mentioning the recently passed bill on women rights from National Assembly, she said that there is still long way to go in this direction, as this is only the beginning.
Khalid Mahmood, Assistant Professor, thanked all the guests and participant. He also distributed shields among the guests.-PR
