Political, social and religions circles from Bajaur Agency have demanded the removal of Federal Minister for Safron Engineer Shaukatullah Khan as according to them, the minister is involved in massive corruption of funds being allocated for the development of the agency.
In a press release issued here on Tuesday by Journalists Resource Center (JRC), an organisation working for the promotion of journalism in tribal areas, political, social and religious workers of Bajaur Agency held a big demonstration in front of a bank in Khar, the headquarters of Bajaur Agency against the massive corruption of the federal minister. The demonstrators yelled full-throat slogans against the corruption of federal minister.
They alleged that Shuakatullah Khan is a corrupt person of Bajaur Agency. According to them, the minister has embezzled all the funds being provided for the development of the agency. Some of the demonstrators alleged that Shuakatullah Khan and his father Bismillah Khan, former MNA have always promoted terrorism in Bajaur Agency as according to them, they have used terrorism for earning dollars. "Now residents of Bajaur Agency have no confidence in the alleged corrupt minister so the government should remove him from the post," they said.
The Bajaur Aman Jirga has also demanded the removal of federal minister declaring him the enemy of people of Bajaur Agency. Members of the Jirga while registering their protest against the minister charged that the minister was the main supporter of terrorists in Bajaur Agency.
