The Met Office on Wednesday predicted the upper and western parts of the country to remain in the grip of severe cold waves for the next 24 hours. "Mainly cold and dry weather expected in most parts of the country. Upper and western parts of the country would remain under the grip of severe cold wave," the office said in its daily weather report.
Temperature in Skardu and Astore was recorded -11 degree centigrade each, Quetta-9 degree centigrade, Hunza-8 degree centigrade, Gupis -7 degree centigrade, Gilgit and Kalam -6 degree centigrade each in the last 24 hours. Karachi weather is expected to remain dry and cold in the next 24 hours with maximum temperature between 12 degree centigrade and 14 degree centigrade, the Met office forecast
