District Co-ordination Officer here, Mujahid Sher Dil has said that huge amount is being utilised on the improvement of means of communication for ensuring safe and hurdle-free travelling facility to the people of the district. The development on the mega project Sialkot-Daska Road is on top gear and it would be accomplished in 2012. After completion, it will provide safe facility of journey to the people and minimise chance of accidents on this track, he disclosed.
Addressing the members of Surgical Instrument Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) on Thursday, he said that special attention has been accorded on removal of encroachments form the city, aimed at widening the roads to ensure smooth traffic flow.
He said that development work on Islamia College Road costing Rs 18 million would be initiated shortly. The step is being taken to reduce the traffic load on Commissioner Road and divert entry of Sialkot Medical College traffic to Islamia College Road.
