'Effective anti-dengue campaign to be launched'

DCO Naseem Sadiq has said that door to door anti dengue campaign similar to polio campaign would be launched in the district to avoid the attack of the former in future. He disclosed this while presiding over a meeting held, here on Thursday, to review the strategy for effective eradication of dengue mosquito and its larva.
The DCO directed health officers to devise a micro plan for anti dengue campaign and identify required medicines, spray machines, manpower and other necessary resources to make the campaign a success. He advised to constitute a forum comprising entomologists, health department experts and other scientists for compiling recommendations for total eradication of dengue virus and its larva. He stressed formulating comprehensive awareness campaign for the information of general public of precautionary and preventive measures to avert dengue mosquito.
