President Asif Ali Zardari has said that he is absolutely alright but doctors are not giving him permission to travel. Talking to a senior journalist in Dubai, the president questioned how Article 47 of the Constitution could be invoked in his case as he was absolutely fine.
According to him, if Article 47 is forcefully imposed on him, he will reject it. Article 47 (1) says: "Notwithstanding anything contained in the Constitution, the President may, in accordance with the provisions of this Article, be removed from office on the ground of physical or mental incapacity or impeached on a charge of violating the Constitution or gross misconduct."
