Chairman, Law and Order Committee of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati), Nadeem Khan has urged Inspector General of Police Sindh, Mushtaq Shah to direct Superintendent of Police of Korangi Industrial area to re-establish Madadgar 15 on priority bases.
Talking to newsmen, he recalled that few weeks ago IG Sindh on demand of Kati has agreed to restore Madadgar 15 in the city including Korangi industrial area and issued necessary instruction in this regard. He expressed concern on the removal of logo of Brook Parma on Saturday December 17 from Madadgar 15 by police official and said the superintendent of police claimed that he did not receive any order to restore and reestablish Madadgar 15 nor there is any plan to re-establish the centre.
It is worth mentioning that Madadgar 15 was established around seven years ago on the initiative of Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan at an expense of Rs 50 lakhs. Nadeem Khan recalled that in recent past when Madadgar 15 was operative it proved as very helpful in overcoming criminal actives in the industrial area.
Nadeem Khan said that there is no need of police in the area if industrialists have to have their own security and engage privet security companies. It is the duty of the police to provide security and safety of life of property of the citizens, he added.
