At least two persons including a passport office agent were killed in separate incidents in different areas of metropolis on Monday. According to police and rescuers, an agent of passport office was shot dead in Sindhi Muslim Society in the limits of Ferozabad police station.
The victim was identified as Sohail Elahi alias Kalia, 35, son of Zubair Elahi, a resident of Gulshan Zahoor Brigade area. He was targeted when he was going on his motorcycle in block A Sindhi Muslim Society. He received two bullets on his head and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. SHO Ejaz Khawaja said the victim was an agent of passport office and father of three. Later the body was handed over to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A strangulated and tortured body of 12-year-old boy was found from Sparco Road, Mawatch Goth are in the limits of Maripur police station. The victim was later identified as Uzair son of Nazar Mohammad, a resident of Sheikh Mohalla Mawatch Goth. Police said the victim had several torture marks and was missing from Sunday morning. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim was a labourer. Police suspected that he might have been killed after sexual assault. Later police handed over his body to his heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
