In view of the continuing gas shortage and as per the recent ECC decision, it has been decided to shutdown gas to the CNG stations in Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan for 24 hours from 9am on Wednesday (today) till 9am Thursday (tomorrow). This was announced by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) in its press release issued, here on Tuesday. The decision to discontinue gas to the CNG stations on a periodic basis follows an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply in Karachi and interior Sindh.
"The SSGC realises that while the customers are faced with an acute situation, the company is taking all actions to ensure uninterrupted gas supply," SSGC said. In this regard, the management has requested all stakeholders to fully support the company in handling low pressure situation more effectively, it added.-PR
