Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The business activity report from Karachi Port Trust, was not received on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 65,958 tonnes comprising of 36,146 tonnes of import and 29,812 tonnes of export cargo, while a total number of 3,156 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Saturday.
The total import cargo volume of 36,146 tonnes comprised of 12,295 tonnes of furnace oil; 2,950 tonnes of palm oil; 4,072 tonnes of sunflower seeds and 16,829 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the business activity hours of the port.
The total export cargo volume of 29,812 tonnes comprising of 671 tonnes of rice and 29,141 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the reported period of the activity hours on Saturday. There was only one cargo vessel namely M T MV Safmarine Nagmi carrying containerised cargo sailed out to the sea on Saturday morning.
There were total number of eight vessels namely MV Cantania, M T MV Safmarine Nagmi, M T SC Bei Hai, M T Fair Spirit, M V Alaed and M V Voge Enterprise are currently occupying the berths to load/offload rice cargo, sunflower seeds, containerised cargo, palm oil tankers and furnace oil tankers respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Saturday.
