The electronic media in Pakistan grew in recent years. In this rapid progress the TV talk shows became the focus of public interest surpassing entertainment programmes. The fast growth did not give time to the proprietors of the channels to train the TV anchors professionally in the race of ratings and financial gains.
As a result today we find three types of TV anchors; TV anchors with information only; their input in the talk shows is minimum. Their programmes are dull. TV anchors with knowledge; they logically participate in the discussions. Their programmes are interesting. TV anchors with poor information and no knowledge; they incite the guests to fight with each other. Their programmes are thrilling.
