The Met Office forecast isolated light rain with snow all over Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the next 24 hours. "Shallow westerly wave likely to affect Northern areas of the country from Monday night and likely to persist for next two to three days," the Met office said in its weather summery of the day.
It says foggy/misty conditions are likely to prevail over some plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sukkur division during the period. In the last 24 hours, weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country, it says, adding that temperature in Skardu was recorded minus 10 degree centigrade, in Hunza, Parachinar and Kalam minus 9 degree centigrade each, Astore minus 8 degree centigrade and Kalat and Gilgit minus 6 degree centigrade.
Karachi weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature ranging between 8 and 9 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, the forecaster says.
