Unidentified snatchers equipped with arms gunned down a man on Sariab road, when he put resistance to their bid to snatch bicycle, here on Tuesday. The police said that unknown gunmen intercepted Amanullah and tried to snatch his bicycle and they gunned down him while he showed resistance to their bid to snatch his bicycle.
Later, the armed men took the bicycle and mobile phone of the victim, and escaped from the scene. The body of the victim was shifted to Civil Hospital and later was handed over to the heirs after autopsy. The police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident.
It was pertinent to mention that such criminal incidents had been reported on roads of the provincial capital including Sariab, Sabzal, Spinny and Barori in which armed men opened fire at newspapers' hawkers and other citizens when they put resistance to their bid to snatch their bicycles.
