Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan announced the appointment of Naseer Hasan as the Head of Consumer Banking. He replaces Aalishaan Zaidi who has moved as Group Head of Branch Management to Standard Chartered Group Distribution in Singapore. Naseer was previously the Head of Distribution in Pakistan.
In the new role, Naseer will be responsible for the strategy, development and management of Standard Chartered's Consumer Banking operations in Pakistan, underlining Bank's continued commitment to the country and focus on meeting the specific needs of its customers in the country.
Mohsin Nathani, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, said: "I am delighted to welcome Naseer as the Head of Consumer Banking. I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue building on our success in the Consumer Banking business in Pakistan. His appointment will reinforce our ambition to drive and grow our Consumer Banking capabilities."
Commenting on Aalishaan's new role, he added: "Aalishaan is a highly valued senior member of the Bank. Over the last three years, under his dynamic leadership, Consumer Banking in Pakistan has transformed itself into a more customer-focused operation, and grown significantly. This new assignment recognizes the considerable success Aalishaan achieved in Pakistan. I thank him for his contributions and wish him success in his new role."
Vishu Ramachandran, Regional Head of Consumer Banking, Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, said: "Consumer Banking in Pakistan is successfully making its transition to a customer-focused organisation. Naseer has contributed immensely to the business and has displayed exceptional leadership skills. Naseer joined Standard Chartered Pakistan in April 2010 as the Head of Distribution and brings strong discipline in strategy, operations and people management. Prior joining Standard Chartered he was the Group Head of Retail and Mass Market Business at NIB Bank.-PR
