A two-day international conference for promotion of Halal industry will be held here on January 16, in which constituents from 14 countries will participate. According to a Halal Research Council's spokesperson here on Thursday, the conference is jointly organised by Halal Research Council and Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company (Pamco).
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest. The purpose behind the conference is to introduce Pakistan Halal market and industries, that worth $3 trillion, to international Halal industries. As Pakistan is an agricultural country and due to its excellent livestock and 100 percent Halal products, it has an opportunity to be introduced as a Halal producer leader, through which foreign exchange can be increased and minimised the country's trade deficit.
