Eradicating corruption: Jamaat-e-Islami submits call attention notice to Senate

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Thursday submitted call attention notice in Senate questioning government's steps for eradicating corruption from the country. "Minister for Interior should inform the Upper House of the Parliament what steps have been taken by the government to check the cancer of corruption particularly in administration, police and other key departments of the government", said the call attention notice submitted by JI Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmed.
The call attention notice has been submitted while referring to the fresh report of Transparency International (TI), which has revealed an alarming situation about corruption in government departments. The TI report published in the print media on Thursday has also been enclosed with call attention notice.
