The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has opined that the cases should be resolved by investigating on the bases of modern lines and modern techniques, said a statement. He was presiding over a meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Friday. The statement also said that the meeting reviewed the pace of the cases registered at the police stations in metropolis.
It said that the IGP was not satisfied with the current performance of the police regarding various phases of the investigation. The IGP agreed on the suggestion from the police officers that for a month the SP headquarters of all five districts should be nominated as SP Investigation to investigate the cases under the SSP, while the divisional SPs would supervise the law and order situation.
