Khurram Sayeed, Executive Committee Member India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Chief Executive Planet Petrochemical, hailed the inclusion of Polymers in the road list of items importable from India. He said that polymers of PP and PE are used in the manufacturing of bags for fertiliser, sugar and cement and this measure will give some relief to the consumers as they can now be easily imported from India at competitive prices.
He further said that through the SRO 1119(1)/2011 other items included in the road list are Cement, Clinker, Vegetables, Cotton, Yarn, Cane and Beet Sugar among others. He congratulated the Secretary Commerce, Zafar Mahmood and the Pakistan High Commissioner in India H.E. Shahid Malik and Economic Minister Naeem Anwar on the issuance of the same.-PR
