Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Peshawar Zalmi clarified on Sunday that the team has cleared all its payments with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and all its present energies are focused towards defending its title.

Some recent media reports suggested that a few franchises have failed to clear their dues with PCB. Following the report, Zalmi released a statement clarifying that they have cleared all payments. “On our part, we have cleared all the necessary fees and payments, including taxes, with PCB and no payments remain in balance,” the statement reads.

“We at Peshawar Zalmi firmly believe that PSL is the country’s biggest sports brand. We will continue with our efforts in not only supporting this mega event but also bringing back cricket to Pakistan,” the statement further reads.

“Understanding the importance of promotions and media engagements, Peshawar Zalmi kicked off its promotional activates as early as December last year, We have been actively promoting the League and our franchise through our media partners and social media platforms. We would like to thank our ardent supporters who have responded positively to our media campaigns,” Javed Afridi owned franchise said.

“We wish all the best to PCB and all franchises for PSL season 3,” it added.
