Security forces seize huge cache of arms in Bara district

Security forces on Sunday carried out a successful operation recovering heavy arms during search operation in Bara district of Khyber Agency in Tribal area. Sources said that the forces have recovered Russian-made Anti-tank gun, anti-aircraft gun, mortar guns, mortar shells, rocket launchers, 600-kg explosives and other ammunition and heavy ammunition during search operation in FCC Qilla area of the district.
Giving the details to media, Operation Commander said that 50 soldiers have been martyred during past 3 years in war against terrorism in the area and total 95 militants have been killed in 2011. He also said that military and Defence Village Committee are working closely for restoration of peace. Terrorists have destroyed 68 schools and 13 hospitals in the area. The security forces have been battling in the tribal region since 2008 against anti-state actors.
