'Government gives high accord to journalist community'

Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi Sunday said that government gives high accord to the issues of journalists and utilising all available resources to resolve them on priority basis.
Talking to media men, he said that government is well aware of the role of journalist fraternity in construction of a health society and striving to create a congenial atmosphere to facilitate them for performing their duties professionally. He eulogised the role of government, saying record development work has been accomplished by the elected government. He added that government would complete its tenure on the basis of its achievements.
Deputy speaker NA said that hindrances in construction of media colony for Dera journalists would be removed and a meeting would be scheduled with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa information minister next week in this regard.
To a query, he said that government of PPP has always welcomed positive criticism in a view to establish and strengthen democracy in the greater interest of the country.
