Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday said people were forced to commit suicide and rulers were busy in looting public funds but Tehrik-i-insaf would bring a good change to redress the grievances of the masses and to put the country on the track of progress and prosperity. He was addressing the devotees of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Suharwardi on the concluding day of his annual Urs, here on Monday.
Qureshi said that their boat was in the storm and only Allah Almighty could save them. He made it clear that he did not have any plans to join hands with Pervez Musharraf's All Pakistan Muslim League or allow the former dictator to join PTI. Those who were afraid of the tsunami of PTI were spreading such rumours. He said that 180 million people wanted change in the country because they were fed up with "Do Bhaiyon ki Dukan".
Qureshi has said that 2012 will be the year of Imran Khan and socio-economic changes in Pakistan. He said that he had differences with Asif Ali Zardari. Zardari and Sharif brothers (Nawaz & Shahbaz) were supporting each other to protect their plundered wealth, which would be recovered from them through fair and impartial accountability.
Vice Chairman PTI said that President Zardari, Sharif brothers and Chaudhry brothers must realise that time had come for their accountability (Ehtisab). "If we bring back Pakistan's $100 billion looted money lying in the foreign banks, we do not need to beg from others to solve our economic problems," he added. Shah said that PML-N PML-J PML-Q could be parties of Establishment but not the PTI as it has struggled for 15 years for justice for all, good governance and change in the country.
