Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Monday in process of slow trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new both types lost Rs 20 to Rs 2650 and 2665 due to balanced demand and supply factor, other items retained the week-end levels, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-9 Sindh low type was unchanged at Rs 4000 while the best type lost Rs 300 to Rs 4200, Iri-6 Sindh low type retained last level at Rs 2950 and better type was higher by Rs 20 to Rs 3070, they said. On the seed counter cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type picked up Rs 50 to Rs 700 and best quality gained Rs 150 to Rs 850 due to tight supply position, they said. Prices did not show any change on the grams sector, they said.
