An incinerated body of a woman, who was the mother of four children, was found in the limits of Saachal police station on Wednesday. According to SHO Azhar Ali Iqbal, this tragic incident took place at house No A5/99 located in Bhattaiabad, Ghani Bux Goth in the jurisdiction of Saachal police station.
He said the body of 36-year-old woman, who was later identified as Zahida wife of Muneer, was recovered on the information of inhabitants. He said that her brother-in-law namely Muneer came in her house when she was alone and after hot debate, he shot her dead and then incinerated her body with the aim to feign that she burnt alive while working in the kitchen.
Meanwhile, SP Altaf Malik said that It is premature to ascertain that the eroticism was the motive behind this tragic incident but the police would also investigate her murder over the said ground. However, police sources were of the view that the lust was the motive behind her murder. They said the police had taken the wife of accused and his son into custody during raid at his house while raids were being conducted to nab the absconder. No case was registered till filing of this report.
