A car owned by Minister for Ports and Shipping, Babar Khan Ghauri, was snatched on Friday near Stadium Road in the limits of Gulshan Iqbal police station. According to police, a car (AUR-852) owned by Babar Ghauri was snatched in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block-17, off Stadium Road, in the jurisdiction of Aziz Bhatti police station.
Ghauri also confirmed the incident, saying that his car was parked at a market where his daughter was busy in shopping. According to witnesses, four unknown armed men reached the spot and started beating his driver and police guard after snatching weapons from his police guard. Later, the culprits asked for keys and managed to flee with his car. SHO Kansan Dean said that Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) was informed about the incident and police were busy to nab the culprits and recover the car. No case had been registered till filing of this report.
