Upon receipt of clearance from SBP, the board of directors of Oman International Bank SAOG has confirmed appointment of Altaf H. Lakhani as Country Manager for their Pakistan operations. Prior to his elevation, Lakhani was serving as Acting Country Manager.
Lakhani has more than 25 years of diversified and practical banking experience and four years in manufacturing industry. He started his career with HBL and thereafter moved to NDFC on deputation and during 2000, he had joined one of the leading composite textile industries at Site. In 2004, Lakhani joined Soneri Bank, leaving it as SVP Corporate banking to join Oman International Bank SAOG-Pakistan in 2008 as Head of Corporate Banking-Pakistan Operations. Lakhani has a Masters in Banking Management from the University of Exeter, UK and is also a Diplomaed Associate of Institute of Bankers in Pakistan.
